How Chacha works
Chacha is an AI, not a person. This page explains what happens to your birth details and your question, what Chacha will not answer, and where to complain.
Your kundali is made on your phone
The app calculates your chart from your birth date, time and place using the Vedic (sidereal) system and the Vimshottari dasha. This works without the internet. Profiles are also synced to our servers over an encrypted connection, so they return if you change phones.
When you ask, only what is needed is sent
Your question, the chart facts it needs and your first name go to our AI partners to write the answer. Your phone number does not.
An AI model writes the answer
The answer is generated from your chart, can be wrong, and is guidance. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
It shows its basis
Under the answer you see the planets, houses and dasha it used, so you can check the reasoning, or take it to someone you trust.
What Chacha will not answer
- Death, lifespan, serious illness, pregnancy or court cases.
- Money or investment outcomes.
- Anything that needs a gemstone, puja or yantra. Chacha does not sell or suggest them.
If you sound upset, Chacha shares helpline numbers (Tele-MANAS 14416, and 112 in an emergency) instead of astrology.
Honest limits
Astrology is a traditional practice. Chacha treats a chart as a framework for reflection, not a forecast you must accept, and says so when the chart is unclear. Many people see different things in the same chart, and the decision is always yours.
Report an answer, or complain
Tap the thumbs-down under any answer to report it. A person reads every report. For anything else, write to us from Settings > Help and complaints in the app, or use the Help page. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours.
